The HemeSpec Plus is a unique dedicated colorimeter designed to complement Helena's column chromatography methods. It provides instant, accurate final results by automatically calculating the percentages of the hemoglobins measured. These include the glycosylated hemoglobins measured with GLYCO-Tek Affinity Column (Cat. No. 5351), HbA2 measured with Beta-Thal Hba2 Quick Column (Cat. No. 5341 and Sickle-Thal Quik Column (Cat. No. 5334). To use HemeSpec Plus, perform the column procedure as outlined in the package insert. Select the test mode on the instrument. Fill cuvettes and read the two solutions for each test. After reading the second solution, HemeSpec Plus automatically calculates percent hemoglobin in the sample and displays the value.
