SPIFE Hemoglobins, Acid & Alkaline

SPIFE Alkaline and Acid Hemoglobin assays take full advantage of the automated sample application separation and staining of the SPIFE electrophoresis system.

Separations with SPIFE Alkaline Hemoglobin mimic classic cellulose acetate and are the front line for detecting hemoglobinopathies. Use of acid blue stain provides excellent sensitivity and linearity. Precise temperature control improves separation, resolving even problematic Hemoglobin H.

SPIFE Acid Hemoglobin is a much less cumbersome method than conventional citrate agar for characterizing hemoglobinopathies. The use of acid blue stain brings linearity not available with O-Tolidine or O-Dianisidine based systems. Finished gels are stable in storage and will not continue to darken.
